Logo, Branding, Packaging and Social Media Case Study

Reflex is a sports apparel clothing brand based in Cuttack, Odisha, India….

They have a parent fabric and clothing company that manufactures custom and non-branded sportswear lines.

They came to us to build their brand as a quality sportswear manufacturer from scratch. What Reflex needed was something that’s sporty, strong and could attract the local athletes, players and sports organisations.

The Logo

The logo needed to be sporty and minimal. It had to be something athletes can relate to and something that can be used as an emblem in embroidered or other forms on clothes and look good while being used as so. So, after several explorations, we combined ‘R’ and a minimal representation of an ‘athlete’ or ‘player’….

We chose red as the primary colour to get a bold persona. Red is used to denote passion, energy, power and adventure which are the values relatable to a sportsman….

The Brand Typography

The typeface we chose was Oswald. It’s a sans serif typeface. Oswald is a re-rendition of the classic style popularly represented by the ‘Alternate Gothic’ typefaces. This typeface gives the bold and strong outlook we would like to associate sportsmanship with while also looking good in text bodies….

The Packagings

As a complete branding package, we designed and facilitated the printing of clothing tags, catalogues and packaging boxes. They all act as extensions of the brand identity system and brand language in terms of design and user experience….

Posters / Social Media

After our successful branding venture, we have designed four campaigns focused on four of their sportswear designs. We created the slogan “For the Athlete in You” and designed the campaign posters surrounding it while focusing on “made in India” and “vocal for local“. Due to the unavailability of the scope of photography, we designed 3D mockups of the respective apparel designs followed by posters for distribution on Social Media….
