OG Hemp is a handmade hemp paper and paper products manufacturer in Kolkata, India. They are primarily focused on B2B sells producing fully customizable handmade hemp paper products ranging from paper sheets to fully customizable stationery and many more….

The Brief

The OG team primarily approached us to handle their social media content marketing. We love sustainable eco-friendly products and having someone from the hemp paper industry approached us felt great. We are even more excited about the fact that an Indian company is doing it…. After going good with the content marketing, we also ended up doing many creative works for them including their pitch deck and we’ll get into those slowly….

Typography

Establishing brand typography is one of the first things we do whenever we take in any project. This was no exception. We had to choose a type that complemented their wordmark well and was expandable in multiple ways…. So we chose Monsterrat….

Colour Palette

The next import choice after establishing brand typography is establishing a brand colour palette. This was especially important in the case of OG Hemp because we were going to take care of their social media content marketing and it’s very important to maintain a brand language in content…. For compiling the colour palette we took the primary grey and primary green from the logo and added two homogenous shades for each….

Stamp

Stamps are important parts of exports and the packaging industry. Packaging boxes and bags being an important section of their wide range of products, this was unavoidable for OG Hemp….

Tee

They already had a good logo when we took their project. Hence, we didn’t touch that. But they did need to expand their brand identity system starting from a brand T-shirt. For the Tee design, we expanded the type of their wordmark to display one of the OG Taglines “Hustle to Grow”.

Brochure

The OG Hemp team got shortlisted for a business exhibition and they needed a few creative business elements. A brochure was the first. Brochures are very useful for distribution in exhibitions to keep yourself memorable and keep the audience curious about you even after the vent. We decided a bifold short brochure to be the best approach for this….

Banners and Standees

Banners and standees are very useful in drawing attention from a distance and displaying important information like contact details etc to bystanders. We designed banners and standees expressing the benefits of hemp and applications of OG Hemp papers products over the conventional alternatives….

Social Media Content Marketing

Now coming to what we were mainly hired for, social media content marketing….

Set 01

For the first set, we focused on why hemp paper is a better alternative to wood pulp paper in terms of environmental impact and chemical composition in a minimalist way….

For the second set, we switch to organic tropical patterns, which are very trendy in 2020 to promote some facts on the benefits of hemp. Some product photography of the OG Hemp products also came in during this time and we took this opportunity to display them….

Set 03

For the next set, we switched back to the minimalist approach since that’s the style OG Hemp paper products was going with. We kept this set focused on the usage of various parts of the industrial hemp plant and the progress in their website….

Covid19

Amidst the SARS-CoV2 pandemic, we decided to make the most of this situation by using various customizable OG Hemp products to promote COVID-19 awareness. We wanted to associate with positivity and fun these difficult times even while spreading awareness and it worked….

Set 05

Although the world hadn’t normalised from the attack of the coronavirus, we wanted to normalise the content distancing from COVID-19. Quality product photos of the paper textures of various OG Hemp handmade paper variations were ready by now and we decided to make the most of it through typography….

Results

We started working with them when they had just started their social media game and increased activity 3 times in all the three platforms, ie Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn crossing double centry followers in all of them….

The also went on to win “Dynamic Business of the Year” at Small Bussiness Awards 2020….

Our content campaigns in social media also gained public attention and affection with several users sliding into DM….
